Guarino & Cox, LLC (GCL) is a naval architecture firm based in Louisiana that provides commercial services in marine design and consulting to the domestic and international markets. The firm specializes in the design of self-propelled vessels and barges of all types.

Guarino & Cox, LLC’s origin was Guarino & Cox, Inc. (GCI) which was founded in 1980. GCI enjoyed an enviable reputation as premier designers of offshore service vessels, providing support to builders and operators. At that time GCI designed vessels were under construction in every state on the U.S. Gulf Coast.

In 1988 GCI was absorbed by a major client, the Trinity Marine Group, that GCI had been providing with critical design, engineering and production drawing support services. After that organization changed ownership, Greg Cox and Sal Guarino, the original principals of GCI, left to form Guarino & Cox, LLC in 2000.

GCL provides a full range of naval architecture and consulting services including design studies and conceptual, preliminary and detailed design drawings. All production drawings can be supplied including electronic lofting, nesting and data for N.C. cutting of metal.

The strategy of GCL is to provide its services in a timely, responsive and consistent manner to vessel owners, users and builders worldwide. Work performed is based on solid and practical application of naval architecture and engineering principles. Practical application is assured by the extensive experience of GCL' s principals and staff. All of GCL’s principals and key people have worked in shipyards and are thoroughly familiar with production requirements and limitations.
